The Future of Comfort
Living indoors is complicated.
Our mission is to control the flow of heat and air to provide a comfortable and healthy indoor environment.
Rooted in science and motivated by a sincere desire to help and collaborate in the quest for comfort, health and connection. We welcome the opportunity to lean into the experience of those that came before us so that we may better serve the future. With best practices and benchmarking we achieve reliable results. As a proud signatory of the BetterHVAC Movement, we invite you to learn together and demand better. RTFM.
"...To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."

What we do...
Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pumps
Available as Ductless Mini Splits, Ducted Air Handlers and Radiant Hydronic Systems
Heat pumps are versatile heating and cooling systems that are now able to efficiently operate in cold climates.
Unlike using a flame to create heat, these machines use electricity to extract energy from outdoor air, and transfer it inside to heat your home. This heating technology has improved dramatically in recent years and is now less expensive to operate than a propane furnace or boiler.
Heat pumps also provide efficient cooling in the summer if you need to keep your windows closed to avoid pollutants like pollen or smoke, or if those large western windows are getting too much sun.
Successful operation leans heavily on a quality installation. Selecting the right equipment for your space based on Manual J Load Calculations and proper commissioning to ensure efficient operation is what sets us apart from "rule of thumb" installers. EPA 608 licensed.
Custom steel fabrication is also available for support stands and protective roofs.

Building Science Consulting
Building Science is a multidisciplinary field that encompasses the study of how buildings function and interact with their environment. It involves understanding the principles of physics, engineering, and architecture to optimize energy efficiency, indoor air quality and occupant well-being. Building Science explores topics such as insulation, ventilation, moisture control, chemical reactions in your home and the design / construction of buildings that are environmentally friendly, energy-efficient and promote healthy indoor spaces.
Without careful consideration of such factors, many buildings make people uncomfortable and sick. We believe that your home should be a space where your family can thrive, and the opportunity to improve your daily life is profound.

IAQ - Indoor Air Quality
You can't manage what you can't measure, so testing your air is the first step toward improving every breath you inhale. On average, we spend 87% of our time breathing indoors. That's approximately 30 lbs per day of air that moves through your lungs, the majority of it is likely stagnate and more polluted than it could be.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Carbon Monoxide, Combustion By-products, Radon, Formaldehyde, Excess CO2, Mold Spores and Foul Odors simply don't belong in your lungs.
ERV - Energy Recovery Ventilation
The mountain air here in the Mighty San Juans is magnificently fresh, most of the time. Circulating more of it through the space where you breathe has countless benefits, and these simple appliances recover most of the heat transferred in this process. Imagine opening your windows without cold drafts and outdoor noises creeping in.
Fill your home with filtered fresh air and breathe easily, especially if wildfire smoke and pollen are present. By controlling where air enters your house, you gain the opportunity to filter out these pollutants.
Taking control of the air in your home is a major upgrade to the experience of living indoors. Perhaps you have a wood stove that fills your house with smoke? Stale air or litter box odors?
Ventilation is the answer and we can help get it right!
Thank you for your consideration! We look forward to our future together.
