Custom HVAC Design Backed by Building Science
Every Stellar Air project begins with a structured, building science-driven approach to ensure accuracy from the start. After the initial inquiry, we perform a comprehensive in-person home evaluation—assessing insulation, airflow, existing systems, and overall performance, often including blower door testing. This allows us to fully understand how your home operates before making any recommendations.
Using this data, we complete a Manual J load calculation and build a precise, transparent estimate based on real measurements—not assumptions. Each proposal clearly outlines equipment, labor, and available incentives, giving you a confident, well-defined path forward before installation begins.

Reliable HVAC Installation with Full System Testing
Once your project is approved, Stellar Air manages equipment ordering and staging to ensure everything is ready before installation begins. Our team follows a deliberate, quality-first installation process, carefully coordinating trades and completing work over multiple days to avoid rushed results. Every detail—from equipment placement to system integration—is handled with precision, and progress is documented throughout to maintain accuracy and accountability.
After installation, every system is carefully commissioned to ensure it performs exactly as designed. This includes pressure testing, refrigerant setup, airflow balancing, and full system startup verification. We then complete warranty registration, assist with rebate documentation, and only finalize invoicing once the system is fully operational. Ongoing follow-up ensures your system continues to deliver reliable comfort, efficiency, and long-term performance.

"My wife and I reached out to Stellar Air last fall about options for an air source heat pump system at our house in SW Colorado. With a site visit from Fletcher and a high tech Lidar scan of our home (for a detailed sizing calculation) we decided to go with Fletcher's recommendation of a three zone Fujitsu mini-split to replace our existing electric baseboard and to supplement our wood heat. Fletcher finished the install in December of 2025 and now the system has been operating perfectly for about three months; even with some of the recent colder weather we've had (down to -2 F). Fletcher and his team are very knowledgeable about this technology and made sure to answer all of my questions from sizing the system to a detailed explanation of how mini-splits work. So far the mini-split has saved a ton of electricity compared to running the electric baseboard and has done a great job in keeping the house warm when we are away at work and unable to keep the fireplace going..."

2. Comprehensive Thermodynamic Home Evaluation ($495) – Conduct a detailed in-person assessment of insulation, HVAC systems, airflow, and overall home performance.
3. Manual J Load Calculation & System Design – Perform precise load calculations and design a system tailored to the home’s heating and cooling needs.
4. Estimate, Financing & Rebate Planning – Build a full proposal including equipment, labor, available incentives, and financing options.
5. Equipment Ordering & Staging – Order equipment, track lead times, and stage materials to ensure a smooth installation timeline.
6. Installation (Multi-Day, Quality-First) – Execute a carefully planned, multi-day installation with proper sequencing and attention to detail.
7. Commissioning & Final Closeout – Perform system startup, testing, refrigerant setup, and final performance verification.
8. Registration, Certification & Rebate Submission – Complete warranty registration, certification documentation, and submit all rebate paperwork.
9. Final Invoicing – Provide a clear invoice and project summary once installation is complete and approved by the customer.
10. Post-Install Follow-Up & Support – Conduct follow-ups to ensure performance, address any issues, and provide ongoing support.
